It's already January 8 in the new year! I think it is definitely true that the older you get, the faster time seems to go. Last year passed so quickly that I think I have whiplash from trying to see it as it went!

I'm working on some projects already for this year and I sure hope to be able to keep up with all of them through the year.

I'm working on a Civil War BOW (Block of the Week) by Barbara Brackman. I have never really been too much of a civil war type fabric person, but like my tastes in food, my taste in fabric has changed dramatically as I have gotten older. I now find myself enjoying 1930's reproduction fabrics as well as Civil War reproduction fabrics. No explaining it!

another of my projects is embroidery. I'm trying to come up with a setting for my 12 Days of Redwork blocks that were given by Alex Anderson in 2010. I have the embroidery done, now to get them into a project in time for the Valentines day challlenge in my quilting group.

I also found (a friend sent me the link) another stitcher BOM at LittleMissShabby's block spot. I finished the first block.

I've worked on putting together some Healing Hearts charity blocks. A friend had made HST's to make Friendship star blocks for the quilts. I sew the individual pieces togeter, then sew those together to make the blocks, then machine embroider a heart in the center. I can then make a quilt from them. The blocks represent friendship and love and are sent to people going through a rough time; loss of a loved one, or to someone fighting cancer. I'm blessed to have a Pfaff Hobby quilter to be ablet to finish the quilts. I'm not saying I'm able to do a good job on the machine...but I have one!
till next time...that's Sew Me!
