Spring 2019

Spring has sprung!  Lots of flooding in different areas of the country, and even in my back yard.  Hopefully it's drying up now but more rain is expected today so it may never dry out.  My backyard flooding is nothing compared to what some people have experienced, with entire towns swallowed in water, animals drowned, and life totally interrupted. I'm so sad for those people
 
On the bright side, my peonies bloomed so nicely this year..

Happiness in Pink!!   One of my children gave me this plant a few years ago

and this is its best year ever.  I had 2 others from 2 of my other children but those plants developed some kind of fungus and died.  

my 16 year old grandson is here to help us out with some work this weekend, here in the middle of June! Yesterday he worked on weeding for me for a few hours.  He had never weeded so he was surprised at how much effort it took. I told him that is what his mother does in their yard to make it so beautiful.  I wanted him to respect how hard she works in their yard.  

We are taking our above ground pool out.  It was worn out and ready to go.   We debated replacing it but decided it would not be  used enough to justify the expense.  So we will refinish the deck and make a garden where the pool was.

My grandson and his granpa will be working on getting the pool out today.
