The end of July and into August 2019
This moment in time....never to be repeated. I was thinking the other day about how time just keeps moving on. Never stopping...one minute into the next and then into the hour and on into the next one. I was thinking about my sweet mother and and how my time with her ticked away. How I wish i could go back in time and see her again, and savor every moment a little longer. Dwell on her words a little longer, smile a little more. I think back to my own children and their childhood. If I could revisit their growing up years, how I would enjoy those little gifts of weed-flowers, and special rocks more. I would smile at them and hug those little precious cheeks a little longer. Time marched on though, and those moments are gone. Along with so many other long ago memories. Now the sound of my youngest sweet grandson fills my ears and my heart. I'm remembering to cherish him with all my heart and treasure the smiles and even the cries. Savoring the times I have with all of my family members, all my grandchildren. My sweet daughter-in-law is home from her grueling experience in Houston for her cancer treatment. Right now she has no signs of disease, for which we are so thankful.
Her bone-marrow transplant seems to have been successful. She says she has a new respect for all people, and the situations all people face in life. Don't we all take our health for granted, until something goes wrong. This brave woman has taught me what it means to be thankful. She is a true inspiration to me.
That was beautiful! I just watched a couple of videos on YouTube from Garden Answer. I love that gal and her enthusiasm and knowledge about gardening! If you have some free time, check out her videos and especially if you have questions about some aspect of your garden. I could watch her videos all day, but then, I wouldn't actually get to the gardening part in real life. Her flower containers are really beautiful! Mine look nothing like hers! Here is one picture of mine. But mine don't have to look like hers. I love that I am able to putter in the yard.
But since I now have some new inspiration from those gardening videos, I might change things up a little next year if I have the the opportunity. I am so thankful for people who inspire me to improve in any way possible. We never know where we will find inspiration, but if we look we will always find it. We are having a 3 day Gospel Meeting at our church, beginning Friday night.
Light refreshments after the meeting tomorrow and Saturday night, then a pot-luck meal on Sunday. Tomorrow morning I will do a little baking, and my sister is coming over to spend some time with me tomorrow on her day off! I am looking forward to sister-time, laughing together about shared memories, and updating each other on the latest happenings in our lives.
